BEEF'D Jerky ("we", "us") is a Geelong, Victoria business. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our online store, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Creating an account is optional — you can also check out as a guest. You can update your details and addresses at any time from the My Account page, and you can ask us to delete your account whenever you like. If you do, we'll remove your personal information, except order and transaction records we're legally required to keep.
We never sell your personal information. We only share it with the services needed to run the store:
Some of our service providers (such as web hosting) may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected.
Our store uses cookies to remember what's in your cart, keep you logged in to your account and make checkout work. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the store (like the cart and checkout) may not function without them.
The site is served over HTTPS and hosted with a reputable provider, account passwords are hashed, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to run the business. We keep personal information only as long as it's needed — transaction records are retained for at least five years as required by Australian tax law, after which they can be deleted on request.
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. The quickest way is via the contact page or by phone on +61 402 835 739. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll do our best to fix it; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If we change this policy we'll post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date.
